In this session, participants will explore the participatory budgeting (PB) model to address sustainability and climate change issues. PB is a community-led, civic action model for participatory decision-making in public budget allocations.
Participants will become familiar with the different phases of the PB model and hear examples of how youth and schools have used PB to drive funding decisions on community projects that are environmentally responsive and sustainable. Participants will also work in groups to gain hands on experience on participatory green budgeting.
