We are today where we were during the Free School Movement over fifty years ago. The following 1969 quote by George Dennison describes education today as much as it did in the 1960s.
“One hears more frequently now of parents banding together, finding teachers, and starting little schools . . . There are no signs that a movement exists, but there are many signs that one might . . .”
This event is to add to the global conversation about a new social contract for education with the view that we are all complicit in how public education has failed to adjust to the times. It is based on a document titled “On the Cusp of a Movement: How the Rights-Centric Education Network Offers to Accelerate the Establishment of a Community of Practice” being finalized for publication on January 24, 2025.
To prepare for the session, please view the Two Loops Model video and read the Prologue to On the Cusp of a Movement.
