This three-hour gathering brings together the Learning Futures Collaboratives (LFCs) at Arizona State University (ASU) for a shared space of reflection, dialogue, and collective sensemaking. The session opens with a framing of why and how learning futures matter now, followed by an exploration of what scale means when learning is rooted in relationships, communities, and lived questions.
Through a series of interactive lightning contributions, selected LFCs will share how their work engages local communities, youth, and partners to mobilize diverse forms of knowledge in practical and meaningful ways. These contributions will highlight different kinds of expertise — student, community, practitioner, and research-based — and surface questions each collaborative is working on that connect to the broader LFC agenda, including notions of scaling deep through long-term relationships and shared inquiry.
The gathering will then transition into a moderated panel conversation with representatives from across the LFC network, including international partners, to reflect on emerging insights, tensions, and possibilities for learning futures work.
