In alignment with this vision, the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE Africa) proposes to host a documentary screening featuring its flagship initiative, Imarisha Msichana. The initiative seeks to reduce teenage pregnancies, promote girls’ re-entry into schooling, and advance gender-responsive education systems in Kenya and across sub-Saharan Africa. It will be followed by a Panel Discussion featuring the partners who took part in the Imarisha Msichana Project. They will
· Present evidence and data – establish the “why” behind the project.
· Showcase how multiple partners (government, NGOs, donors, media, schools) are collaborating for gender-responsive education.
· Raise awareness among global education and development stakeholders about the importance of integrating gender, technology and youth-led voices in education innovation.
· Inspire commitments and partnerships to support the mission of Imarisha Msichana and similar initiatives.
