UNESCO invites educators, school leaders, and researchers, and partners to a global conversation on fostering well-being and community resilience in schools. This webinar will highlight insights from two key UNESCO publications: the Global Happy Schools Report and Learning and Community Hubs for the Evolving Right to Education in Times of Crisis, exploring how schools can support not only academic growth but also emotional, social, and community well-being, while addressing urgent access-to-education challenges.
Participants will learn about the Global Happy Schools framework, to guide schools in creating inclusive, supportive, and motivating learning environments. The session will also present findings from the Learning and Community Hubs initiative, demonstrating how schools can act as vital centers for mental health support, social connection, and community resilience.
International examples will showcase how schools serve as hubs for remote learning guidance, social services, and community engagement. Participants will also hear from a school representative involved in the research, providing first-hand insights into how schools can strengthen relationships, foster belonging, and respond to the needs of students and their wider communities.
This session offers practical strategies and inspiration for transforming schools into spaces that nurture well-being, resilience, and community engagement.
