In an era shaped by artificial intelligence, climate uncertainty and deepening social divides, it is more urgent than ever to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and capabilities needed to shape a better future for all. Education must evolve – not merely to transmit knowledge, but to cultivate the agency and resilience learners need to respond to these complex crises. At the heart of this transformation are three critical domains: mental health & well-being, peace & democracy, climate & sustainability.
This session at the LearningPlanet Festival 2026 will explore how education systems can be reimagined to meet these challenges through intergenerational dialogue between youth leaders and seasoned experts. Together, they will reflect on the vital role of youth voices in leading the way toward a more equitable and sustainable future. This session will set the stage for a series of experiential workshops diving deeper into each theme and will culminate in the official launch of the Learning Planet Academy.
