At the UNESCO- and UN University-co-led Learning Planet Festival, founder Jin Rui Jerry Huang will present EmpowerAIM, a youth-led social initiative that empowers young minds to shape an equitable, AI-driven future actively.
As climate change intensifies extreme weather and displacement, access to schooling becomes more challenging to maintain. When climate-related disruptions disrupt routines, students often lose consistent instruction, textbooks, and timely feedback. EmpowerAIM shares practical, low-barrier ways to use widely available AI-powered learning tools and everyday technology to keep learning moving: explaining complex concepts in plain language, creating practice questions, giving writing feedback, translating and simplifying readings, and organizing weekly study plans when support systems are inconsistent. The session will also introduce EmpowerAIM’s 10-step STREAMLINE framework, which helps students turn local challenges into youth-led projects, moving from problem definition to testing, iteration, and real-world impact with clear ethical guardrails.
Join us to explore a human-centred approach to AI in education that strengthens learning continuity, expands opportunity, and aligns with UNESCO priorities in equity, sustainability, and responsible innovation.
