Many good hearted people work really hard to bring peace, human rights and wellbeing into mainstream school settings, but it’s often like pushing a rock uphill. So many young people and educators increasingly struggle with apathy, alienation, abuse, bullying, burnout and more, in spite of everyone’s best efforts.
Why is that? What can we do to change it, for everyone’s benefit?
Je’anna Clements takes us on a journey into the surprising history of what she calls the ‘C-cubed’ model almost all of us think is ‘just the way school is’, then weaves together insights from Game Theory, Human Rights, and Self-Determination Theory to offer a practical way forward.
This Learning Planet Festival Session hosted by Riverstone Village is free to attend. It is co-hosted by Uniting for Children and Youth and the Rights-Centric Education Network, will be presented by Je’anna Clements, and will take place on Wed 21st Jan 2026, 4pm UTC/ 6pm SAST/ 11am ET on Zoom.
