This exhibition, titled “Blue, Unfenced”, encapsulates the artist, Beier Zhang’s distinctive interpretation of the hue. Visually, the blue unfolds in diverse guises in 26 pieces of artworks. Each iteration of the color bears witness to the artist’s nuanced capture of the human sentiment — loneliness, inner struggles, and growth. The pieces invites viewers to explore the depth of emotion within the color’s varied expressions as a motif. The first stop of the exhibition, sponsored by the Aesthetic Education and Cultural Development Fund of the China National Cultural and Art Foundation, took place at Shang Space in the 798 Art District of Beijing. The second stop of the exhibition will take place in Paris, with the support of Learning Planet Institute and Youth Studios.
