About 240 eleventh-grade students from Begin High School will participate in a hackathon event.
The hackathon challenge is to brainstorm 11 peak days that the students themselves will plan and implement in the next school year.
These can be days of conferences, workshops, journeys, or single-day tours.
These days should express the values the school wants to instill in its students. Among them are building a Jewish-Israeli identity, acquiring life tools and skills, creating a sense of belonging, commitment, and community service, and building mental resilience and self-efficacy.
Throughout the day, mentors will accompany the students and help them refine their proposals through questions.
The students will present their proposals in a startup pitch style, and judges will rank the ideas. The 11 winning ideas will receive a budget for implementation next year.
