TAO Africa is a refugee-led, youth-led community-based organization founded in 2023 in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, Uganda. We work with both refugees and host communities to restore degraded environments, promote peaceful coexistence, support education, and strengthen livelihoods.
Our vision is to Transform, Educate, and Empower Communities for Resilience and Self-Sustainability.
Our mission is to build a transformed society of youth, children, and the elderly with innovative and transformative ideas that go beyond cultural transformation and development.
Through tree planting, community dialogues, webinars, and skills-building initiatives, TAO Africa empowers refugees and host community members to take action for their environment, improve well-being, and shape a sustainable future from within their own communities.
