Fabrecreate is a youth-led sustainability initiative that transforms surplus textile waste into multi-functional HOPE Jackets — jackets that convert into sleeping bags for displaced and vulnerable children. By upcycling more than 35,000 meters of surplus fabric and diverting nearly 70 metric tons of textile waste from landfills, Fabrecreate actively contributes to sustainability and climate action. Each jacket is stitched by over 30 rural women who earn livelihoods and undergo training in health, leadership, and digital financial literacy, making women empowerment a core pillar of the initiative. Through partnerships with UNHCR, Rotary, HVT Foundation, Don Bosco, Better Days, and multiple grassroots NGOs, Fabrecreate has delivered warmth, dignity, and protection to children across Greece, Myanmar, Delhi refugee settlements, Rajasthan, Kargil, Leh, Zanskar, and other crisis-affected regions. Our mission is simple: turn waste into warmth, create livelihoods for women, and ensure no child sleeps cold.
