{"id":393303,"date":"2023-11-10T13:14:08","date_gmt":"2023-11-10T11:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lpfestival.onpressidium.com\/?post_type=event&#038;p=393303"},"modified":"2024-01-23T11:24:14","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T09:24:14","slug":"a-new-transformative-learning-approach-for-exploring-exchanging-and-expanding-worldviews","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.learning-planet.org\/fr\/event\/a-new-transformative-learning-approach-for-exploring-exchanging-and-expanding-worldviews\/","title":{"rendered":"A new transformative learning approach for exploring, exchanging, and expanding worldviews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this event you&#039;ll hear the story of the Educational Worldview Journey &#8211; a new transformative learning approach that invites students to explore, exchange, and expand their worldviews &#8211; developed in collaboration with Utrecht University. <\/p>\n<p>This approach consists of three short (\u00b1 4 &#8211; 6 hours each) but deep learning journeys that invite students to reflect, converse deeply, dig deeper, and look with fresh eyes at the &#039;eyes&#039; (i.e., worldviews) they tend to look with. We&#039;ll also discuss the challenges we&#039;ve run into while developing this program, as well as how you may benefit from it in your own teaching. <\/p>\n<p>We&#039;ll discuss:<br \/>\n&#8211; Our transformative pedagogy <br \/>\n&#8211; Our simple yet powerful learning methodologies <br \/>\n&#8211; How we work with the &#039;problem of worldviews&#039;<br \/>\n&#8211; How students have responded, and what we&#039;ve learned from that<br \/>\n&#8211; How your own teaching may benefit (including a teacher training aimed at facilitating this approach).<\/p>\n<p>This event will consist of a presentation (\u00b1 30 minutes) and time for questions and discussion (\u00b1 30 minutes).
