Michelle Jordan is an associate professor at Arizona State University with an interdisciplinary research agenda focused on the collaboration between and among students and teachers in both formal and informal learning spaces. She is particularly interested in collaborative learning through which groups and individuals collectively take action to address complex problems in their communities. Jordan has degrees in music education and educational psychology, and her scholarship is grounded in the notion of learning as a social process, as well as complexity theories, sociocultural theories, sociolinguistics, and the learning sciences.
