Ajmal Ramyar
Executive Director @ Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT)
Ajmal Ramyar is the Executive Director of Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT), a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing human rights crises and promoting girls’ education in Afghanistan. Under his leadership, APT has led impactful initiatives, including the establishment of an elementary school for internally displaced children and the launch of the Afghan Youth Representative program to the United Nations, providing Afghan youth with a voice on national and international platforms.
Following the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, Ajmal relocated to Canada, where he continues his advocacy for Afghan women and girls.
