Global poverty, the principal byproduct of unemployment, causes food insecurity as people are unable to feed themselves. Against this backdrop, they often have to turn to radical solutions, risking their lives, such as sulfur miners in Indonesia, harvesting in active volcanos. The current solutions, such as aid, humanitarian support, and industrialization are largely mitigation of such effects, but it doesn’t address the root cause of these issues.
Inspired by the founder's real wordld experiences, SocioSecurity was formed by Lai Alex Zou with the aim to catalyze and incentivize increased social activities and initiatives, from a wide range of relevant stakeholders, to jointly tackle the joint issue of food and health insecurity. The motto is “Socioeconomic Equality and Community Uplift through Resilience and Education”, SECURE in short, and the organization seeks to create the impact we desire through our 6S Framework.
