Developing School Association was founded in 2001 to support and develop educational programs and schools that focus on empowering their students, and to run a democratic school in Finland. In 2012 the association launced the Phoenix Online School, which is still in operation and provides a simple and flexible way for homeschoolers to organize and manage their homeschooling. Last year the association started a Learning Science Webinars -project, which provides courses about the science of learning to teachers, parents and students.
