Founded by Jie Yu (Sophia) Yao, Greencovery aims to identify studies, research and reports on eco-anxiety that primarily focus on Western democracies, yet negatively impact people from other regions (often developing countries and minority communities) without taking into account localized conditions.

The organization seeks to take action to remediate this misinformation, reduce misalignments, and make informed economic policy and decisions, and addresses the intersection of SDG 4, 10 and 13.
