The Division of Environmental and Occupational Health (DEOH) of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) is responsible for protecting public health by preventing and controlling environmental, occupational, and climate-related health risks. The Division provides national leadership in areas such as water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), drinking water quality, chemical safety, vector control, occupational health, and environmental health surveillance. Through policy development, monitoring and evaluation, research, and capacity building, DEOH works closely with government institutions, partners, and communities to promote safe environments and reduce preventable disease and health hazards across Liberia.
