Fridays for Future Climate Education is a team consisting of youth activists from various countries who are seeking to implement universal climate education worldwide.
We began our work at the end of 2020 when we realised the clear lack of climate change education in our educational systems. Ever since then we have successfully reached policymakers in Poland, Lithuania, Belgium and Finland. We have also lobbied for the inclusion of climate education at Youth4Climate, COP26, Stockholm+50, and Pre-TES and TES. Our work continues with our sights set on COY17 and COP27.
Over the course of the past 2 years, we have learnt a lot in our pursuit of climate education and now we want to share it with everyone. Join an online workshop “Climate Education Advocacy: What We Wish We Knew” on January 28th, Saturday at 12 PM CET to hear more about our experiences, takeaways and mistakes in the field of climate education advocacy.
