Part of Meta-Layer Week

Something is closing.
Our digital world is increasingly fragmented, mediated, and automated.
People see different things. Trust erodes. Institutions harden.
Decisions are optimized, but meaning is lost.
Many of us feel it — even if we describe it differently.
Breaking Out is a collective design challenge for people who sense that the current trajectory is narrowing our future — and want to explore what it would take to widen it again.
This is not about ideology.
It’s not about platforms.
And it’s not about nostalgia for a simpler past.
It’s about how humans coordinate when reality itself is fractured — and what kinds of structures could restore agency, trust, and collective navigation above the systems we’re currently trapped inside.
During this event, participants will:
Examine real-world breakdowns in shared understanding
Explore emerging interface primitives for coordination
Work individually or collaboratively on pre-solution design challenges
Help map possible exits — not as answers, but as paths
You don’t need technical expertise.
You don’t need to agree with anyone else.
You just need to sense that staying inside the silo is no longer an option.
