Silicon Valley and Africa have very different technological landscapes. In this discussion Isadora Bigourdan, COO of Digital Africa and Jonathan Reichental, ex-CIO for the City of Palo Alto and serial-author will discuss two approaches to tech. While there are many efforts underway to increase access to technology and bridge the digital divide in Africa, the current adoption rate and tech development may require even more efforts and investments. Based on Silicon Valley’s experience and landscape, what are the key learnings for Africa to follow or avoid? What should Silicon Valley understand and take into account from Africa’s tech adoption rate?
