Using Climate Education As a Tool for Climate Action & To Tackle Climate Anxiety

According to a recent UNESCO survey we know that majority of teachers believe teaching about climate change is important but don't feel confident to do so. We also know that the majority of young people today are more anxious about climate change than anything else.

How can teachers approach teaching climate change education to young students without causing anxiety? In this session, we will dive into how to approach the complex topic of climate change in a positive and solutions-focused way that empowers students to feel like Earth Warriors and believe their individual actions can make a difference. We hope this introductory session will be an informative, fun and useful time for you to gain practical knowledge, tips and tools about climate education and apply learnings to your own classrooms.
