I am a retired teacher leader from Seattle, Washington who led numerous school networking projects over the years (Young Inventors, Green Teams, Frontiers of the 21st Century, Compassionate Schools, Tetragami Kids) and I would like to convene an Organzing Committee with other education leaders to discuss the possibility of launching a worldwide school-based network hosting a conversation about how best to transform education to meet the needs of the 21st century. There are roughly 3 million schools in the world and each one represents a community of around 1,000 people and so, crunching the numbers, that means if all schools were connected worldwide about 3 billion people could be reached which should be enough to transform education and possibly even society.
Just thinking…
