We’re at the Halftime Moment for the SDGs, and we’re down at halftime with only 15% of the Goals on track. However, we know that any match is won in the second half and so now is the time to come out winning.
Education has a pivotal role to play in seeing the Goals achieved at this Halftime moment. At the same time, recent data and reports show that children and young people are saying they want to see education transformed to be made more relevant and fit for purpose.
World’s Largest Lesson has spent time thinking about these challenges, asking ourselves a series of questions;
What are the skills and competencies young people need to tackle sustainability issues?
Is there a taxonomy we can propose to accelerate learning?
What programmes and organisations are currently delivering these sustainability competencies?
In this 75 minute session, Kinvara Jardine Paterson, World’s Largest Lesson Director, will showcase some of WLL’s recent thinking and exploring around these questions. She will then moderate a panel discussion featuring stakeholders from different organisations, who will all speak about what sustainability competencies mean to them and which ones they focus on in their work.
