“What is the work that needs to be done for students to step outside of the boxes and seize and work with their full imaginative capacity?”

A panel of educators, artists and activists will spotlight projects on re-imagining schools that have the potential to answer this question.

Collaborative design of dream schools by elementary school students and university art & design students. Immersive learning adventures anchored in climate education for primary school students. Combining arts, storytelling, intergenerational engagement and holistic experiential learning for collective intelligence, innovation and regeneration. A giant, nature-based, living, breathing classroom to inspire curiosity and connection to nature. Liminal spaces of play and flow to drive curiosity and mastery. Creating imagination classrooms.

Projects from around the world, all focused on re-imagining education for a more equitable and sustainable future. As presented at the European Congress of Qualitative Inquiry in Helsinki, January 2024.
