Space exploration has long been neglected by society after the end of the Space Race. It wasn’t until recent years, when Elon Musk and his company SpaceX launched a new wave of interest in aerospace-related topics among the public. While people’s enthusiasm for space is commendable, we have noticed that they often lack some understandings in this area. For example, people may know that SpaceX’s Raptor engine has an excellent performance, but some may end up boasting that it’s the best engine throughout history; or, they might not understand the underlying reasons why it’s outstanding. Such knowledge gaps can lead to significant misunderstandings in some more extreme cases. Therefore, Pharos Space Forum aims to provide a platform to explain and discuss common questions related to aerospace and astrophysics, with the goal of increasing scientific literacy among the public. During our events, we will cover various space-related topics and elaborate on our ideals and future plans. We welcome anyone interested in our project, as our website is still in development. We hope that our “Pharos” can serve as a lighthouse, guiding more people toward aerospace and astrophysics.
