Organised by ASPIRE 2030

Based on a survey, about 54% of youth now seek to have their own start-ups/companies by the time they are 30. This is because they wish to have stronger independence and avoid risks associated with macroeconomic/corporate levels. What is missing so far is that there is a lack of resources/platforms for youth to take what they learn in school and translate that into real-world applications. We need to change “learning for the sake of testing well” to “learning for the sake of saving the planet.” Throughout this program, the participants will be learning about how to push their ideated solutions for a certain global issue, such as climate change, forward through a “gamified” innovation competition.

This event is related to engaged universities, emphasizing community engagement and inclusion between like-minded, innovative, and creative youth participants. This programme will revolve around the framework NEXUS:

N – Networked Learning
E – Ethical Pursuit
X – eXploration of Technological Impact
U – Understanding Interconnection
S – Social Innovation

This event is for youth from 18-30-year-olds interested in Science, Technology, and Society. The participants of this global event will be able to incorporate the knowledge they have learned into their local community.
