This workshop aims to target 25 Egyptian teachers or educational leaders who are between the ages of 25 and 45. The teachers represent various schools located in marginalized areas and teach a variety of topics.
The workshop's main objectives:
– The workshop is designed to facilitate the adoption of a design-based innovation process in schools participating in the training.
– The workshop will enable participants to identify problems and develop solutions after analyzing their students; needs and the environment in which they live.
– The workshop will assist participants in adapting to the cultural contexts of their schools as well as to the constraints and opportunities related to resources.
– Participants will be assisted in designing a process based on Human Centered Design for their school and classrooms to identify the root causes of their students; learning gaps. The results of this analysis will lead to design solutions that address these root causes in order to improve the learning outcomes.
– The workshop will enable the schools of the participating teachers to embark on an innovation process and facilitate knowledge transfer through peer-to-peer experiences.
