At least half of the world's population lacks access to quality healthcare, and approximately one hundred million people cannot afford high healthcare costs. Furthermore, at least two billion people worldwide experience visual impairments, making everyday tasks like navigating online maps a significant challenge. This event aims to ignite discussions on how AI can bridge the healthcare accessibility gaps, through looking at a real-world example: CareBridge, an AI-powered mobile app that equips underserved populations with the tools and info they need to access healthcare.

In this launch event, CareBridge's creator, Sarah Zhou (Castilleja School), will demo the app's main features and deep dive into the technology behind it. Following this, a live panel discussion will explore how to improve CareBridge and make it more valuable in the future. Attendees are encouraged to join the conversation and brainstorm how to harness the power of AI to empower users with self-care knowledge and tackle broader healthcare challenges.
