What is Catalysing Change Week?
Catalyst 2030’s annual gathering offers a unique opportunity to engage with the world’s most innovative changemakers as they collaborate, co-create and share best practices. LearningPlanet, CAP-2030 and Catalyst 2030 launched the Youth Empowerment Circle as part of the 2021 edition, with the shared goal of supporting inspirational youth changemakers and initiatives. Discover how we will celebrate this one-year milestone below – and we hope to see you there!
What can we expect from this session?
The floor will be notably given to the youth, such as members of the Circle’s Youth Council and the growing LearningPlanet Youth Fellows community. We will also hear from representatives of the co-founding networks.
We won’t just be looking back, but moving forward! Join us to discuss key learnings and ambitions for this collaborative initiative over the coming years.
What has happened over the past year in the Youth Empowerment Circle?
- 30 young game-changers shared their hopes, expectations and strategies for youth empowerment with fellow youth and inspiring leaders from the Club of Rome, International Labour Organisation, Save the Children, UNESCO and more, alongside hundreds of participants.
- The Youth Council was created, with 18 youth from across the world steering the development of the Youth Empowerment Circle.
- The LearningPlanet Youth Fellows community was launched, connecting young individual game-changers to one other, and inviting them to participate in joint training sessions, events, and projects to further develop their collective capabilities.
- The Youth Empowerment track of the LearningPlanet Festival was joined by thousands around the world!
